Welcome to the Caribbean

Welcome to the Caribbean
With its perfect beaches,
Its indefatigable sun,
Its partying,
Its food and rum;
Its delight;
By bubbling people
With provocative thighs
And lusty lips,
Uttering the kind
And pleasurable;
Satisfying at random,
Just to keep the dream
From dying,
After being disrespected,
Cheated on,
Abused,
Reduced to separateness.

Welcome to the Caribbean
Where one doesn't worry
Where one is happy
Where life's all a dream.
Where one survives,
Where one grabs what one can grab,
Where nobody's real,
Where no spoken word is the truth,
Where life is not
A stage to learn and grow,
But a temporary carnival,
And God is supposed to be
A compassionate Mother,
That will spare from Hell
Knowing one acted purely in self-defense.

Welcome to the Caribbean
Which is all
But its unfortunate
Fear and distrust.
Which is all
But "It' itself
Does not exist!

de ilusiones he vivido
de ilusiones existí
soñando y soñando

cuando de pronto me desperté y lloraba
cuánto lloraba al ver loque rodeaba
